Should I call or define my last Halloween celebration “Halloween”? This is a true story of how I celebrated my Halloween on October 31, 2019.
In Huntington Beach where I live, there is a haunted castle that attracted many people during Halloween time. The owners have always made stunning decorations and opened the door to visitors on Halloween night for many years. I have been always curious about it and decided to find out for myself. However, I’m a little afraid of the scary decorations and costumes so I asked my girlfriend to go there with me. We made plan that my friend would come to my home to pick me up and then we would go to the haunted castle together. That sounds less scary and more excited.
When my friend arrived at my home, it was late, dark and cold so we decided to have a few glasses of wine to warm up before leaving. I put on my witch costume and then we got into the car and drove to the haunted castle. When we arrived there, we saw a huge crowd of people and a super long line in front of the castle. My friend asked me, “Was I too drunk that I drive us to Disneyland instead?”. We could not even find a place to park our car. We drove around a few times and discussed what we should do. Then I told my friend that it might not be a good idea to get in line while we were both a little drunk, even if we made it into the haunted castle, being drunk and being scared are not a good combination. We stopped and thought it through, finally we have made a decision that we would go home. When we got home, we continued to drink and wine and snacked cheese while we were talking, making fun of each other and laughing. Our jaws were event hurt because of too much laugh. It turned out that I had a wonderful Halloween with my friend.

Sounds fun!
